As a public commons I believe that they have lost the right to ignore the 1st Amendment while they censor content the owners and management of Google/YT disagree with. In other words, they should be regulated as a public utility. Their content is NOT like the content of the news papers and TV News, which hires people who agree with the owner and those people present news in a manner the owners agree with, which has become so obvious with the MNM for the last two years or more. YT's ownership and management is NOT hiring reporters and experts to create content like newspapers and TV does. They made an agreement with Joe and Sally Sixpack that they could post their videos on YT. When Joe and Sally saw that YT was making money off of their videos they asked for a share of the income, and YT agreed. Only in the last few years have they begun using the ad money as force for compliance to their POV, or a hammer to smash those who refused to comply.
Public utilities are limited to the jurisdiction they are in, websites are not. The 1st Amendment is only relevant to the citizens of one country. I am sure there are no shortage of other countries that would have google as their main base of operations and recipient of tax income. It's pragmatically not going to work to treat them like a utility and I don't really agree with it on an ethical slant too. I do not want a situation where governments force website owners to put content on their servers and pay others for it. There are things that I think should be treated as utilities ISP's, web hosts, payment providers that are being used to target people and I don't agree with that

The youtube monetisation thing was just another bubble. People enjoyed some easy money for a while, now reality has caught up with it. The companies that pay for the advertising, don't want their adverts put on certain content after the whole funding ISIS thing.

And the country that Facebook, Google, Twitter and YT are in is the same country that I am in. Citizens of other countries can decide how much freedom they want or don't want. As for me and mine, I'll take the Constitution and the Bill of Rights over any other form of gov I've seen. So, for websites and vendors based in America, serving Americans, the Rule of Law applies, not popular opinion or PC.

You've got it backwards. The gov is not forcing anyone to put content on any website in America, and that would be an abomination if they tried. What we have is a group of Leftists in charge of what is now obviously a public commons, interfering or blocking content they personally disagree with. That action is not in their ToS and those who took Google at its word to "do no evil" have been betrayed.

It may be a bubble, but the "reality" is that companies weren't whining about the videos their ads were playing on. Google was using that as an excuse. How many companies want their ads to be associated with the Antifa group, a gang of masked terrorist that regularly provoke and attack people with whom they disagree, yet many of those truly terrorist organizations remain unblocked and their videos generate Ad Sense money. On a level playing field all sides should be treated equally.

If google weren't allowed to choose to deny or remove content at their discretion, then they would be forced by government to have content on it. If they weren't allowed to deny monetisation then that's government control of a businesses spending. A public commons would and could only be enforced by a government.

It may be a bubble, but the "reality" is that companies weren't whining about the videos their ads were playing on. Google was using that as an excuse. Companies weren't whining until it was made a news story, I am sure most the ad sponsors gave it no thought either way prior. The left is better at playing moral outrage and shaming companies, I think that's why the right always suffers in these scenarios on top of the demographics of companies like google and farcebook.

I'll take the Constitution and the Bill of Rights over any other form of gov I've seen
I'd take it over my own, to be fair.

Facebook used to "send me a notification" in the REQUIRED e-mail provider

          a) "there has been activity in Facebook".

"A lot has happened on Facebook". ( I still get those")

"a hair twirler has updated her profile photo".

"a hair twirler has added a photo of something, anything, fb is MINING the activity so GO LOOK"

NOW MY PHONE HAS ABOUT "half" of the frigging PICTURE that the hair twirler took of her FREAKING...don't know... ICE CREAM CONE SHE IS EATING...

and all to get me to go to FB ...where...

          BEFORE I SEE THE PIC

there is a nice friendly advertising trying to SELL ME SOMETHING...

          NEXT...

about a third of the screen space of my phone will be EATEN UP

by shoving the WHOLE pic in my face to

get me to click it and FIRST SEE AN ADVERT...

FB is now "a public commons / public good / public whatever"

that is being montized to benefit ONE MAN...

and also to have HIS PHILOSOPHICAL BENT SHOVED IN...YOUR FACE...

what if say... oh I don't know... the head of an evil multinational corporation DETESTED by the lefties...

suddenly PURCHASED... Facebook and started shoving evil multinational corporation detested by YOU stuff in your face...

This evil multinational corporation is not...

ELON MUSK or THE KOCH BROTHERS

it is AN INFORMATION SUPPLY SYSTEM being used to make one man incredibly rich and ALSO INFLUENCE YOUR THINKING...

TWO BLACK LADIES were banned by YouTube for...

          being pro Trump...

          http://m.washingtontimes.com/news/20...f-videos-demo/

JUST WAIT UNTIL YOU ARE NOT SUFFICIENTLY FAR LEFT...I mean you are just "not far left ENOUGH" so ...you are going to be banned...

HOW much...is "enough" to not be banned by a money making company...

apparently far left is not bad...even moderate BLACK LADIES can be banned because they do not comply with the desires of ONE MAN.

Google is BAD about completely covering the content of webpages their ads appear on and, as you say, it is worse on cellphones.

The Left shoots their wounded and eats their young. They even ignore their own political correctness and after members of the seven protected classes that deviate from the party line, like the two Black women you mentioned, or Milo, or even Supreme Court Justice Thomas. It was OK when Clinton, as President, sexually abused a 19 year old Intern, spilling sperm on her blue dress but Trump being recorded 10 years ago saying something about grabbing ***** of adult women is unforgivable. Bill Cosby was great until he told young Black men to pull up their pants, study in school and get a job, i.e., become self-sufficient and accountable for their actions. Suddenly, scores of women who never even filed a police complaint about claimed attacks 20 years ago want to pile on.

"Political Correctness" was first discussed in this country in a Supreme Court decision in 1793!
In the United states, and in the several states, which compose the Union, we go not so far, but still we go one step farther than we ought to go in this unnatural and inverted order of things. The states, rather than the people, for whose sakes the states exist, are frequently the objects which attract and arrest our principal attention. This, I believe, has produced much of the confusion and perplexity which have appeared in several proceedings and several publications on state politics, and on the politics, too, of the United states. Sentiments and expressions of this inaccurate kind prevail in our common, even in our convivial, language. Is a toast asked? "The United states," instead of the "People of the United states," is the toast given. This is not politically correct. The toast is meant to present to view the first great object in the Union: it presents only the second. It presents only the artificial person, instead of the natural persons who spoke it into existence.
As the judge said, things got "inverted" pretty early. Not only the artificial person of the State, but the artificial person of a corporation have usurped the power which the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution and the Bill Of Rights attributed as a gift of God given to the people.
"A nation that is afraid to let its people judge the truth and falsehood in an open market is a nation that is afraid of its people.”

The Constitution and Bill of Rights are not gifts of God. They are rules outlined by men for men (and women).

Oh, and while we whine about Google, the Department of Justice is trying to obtain personal information about people who visit anti-Trump websites.

The NSA and the CIA have been violating the Constitution for decades, spying on American citizens, and you're complaining about Session and the DoJ? Deep State is leaking classified information, which is a felony, and the DoJ is attempting to find them. That's their job. That was the DoJ's job under Lynch and Holder, and several gov employees were punished with stiff fines and imprisonments, except for Hillary Clinton, who used an unprotected private email server and had 110 classified emails on it, as determined by Comey, used BleachBit on her HD's AFTER she received a subpoena demanding she turn over those HDs to a Congressional committee. Clinton knew it was illegal to conduct gov communications on non-gov servers and did it anyway. After Comey "cleared" her based on her "i didn't know" defense, a sailor used her defense after he was found with six photos of his nuke sub's nuclear propulsion system. I won't say anything about Lynch meeting with Bill Clinton while Lynch was telling Comey to refer to her investigation as a "matter". I'm sure they just talked about grandkids.

But, don't forget about Hillary & Bill's "Clinton Foundation", which raked in lots of pay-for-play money on such sweet deals like "Uranium One", which her campaign manager, Podesta, benefited from as well. Never saw that corruption prosecuted, did you? Did you complain about it?

So the founding fathers are the source of all truth? Just because it is written in the introduction of the Declaration of Independence does not make it true. And if the constitution and the rights it outlines are gifts from God, why can we change them? To be honest, I think this is he biggest problem in America. Many Americans feel that rights are THEIRS, given to them by God or some other source of power, not our rights given to us by each other. Rights cannot exist without acknowledging that you receive rights but also give them to others by allowing them freedom. If our rights come from some external source of power, why can they be so easily taken away by virtually any individual? (Not attacking any one side here. America as a whole is guilty of this.)

Im not arguing that Hillary Clinton didnt do bad things. I know she did. This conversation isnt about her. Do her wrongs make further wrongs correct? I'm so tired of this argument, from both sides of the political spectrum...

The left is DOOMED in this country!

                    And not from the "right".

It is all about the old "hillbilly saying": "The bigger the boys the bigger the toys".

What is the main complaint that women have when they are on a "crying jag" about "something that happened" at work or at the Canasta party or the "try on underwear and bra parties"?

The complaint is that the men "won't just listen and let me cry it out"...the men have to FIX IT!!

The fake media is now in full throat mode to destroy the center and right, the "alt-right" is just a rallying cry.

And when that is done...it was done by Hitler... it doesn't matter which "side" gets control of things..."that side" always destroys the "other side".

So...when the communists and socialists and alt-left and progressives SOON...within the next few years... destroy the ability of the center and right to even have a MUTE STATUE...

when that happens... then all that is left is...the left...

Very quickly ...after that happens...because "the bigger the boy the bigger the toy"...the bigger the political leader the bigger the political rhetoric...

and they are always LOOKING FOR SOMETHING...ANYTHING to "fix"...

The alt-left comes after the left...destroying it...

then they go after the progressives...destroying them...

then the alt-left is destroyed by the socialists...

and the communists destroy the socialists...

AND WHY DO I KNOW THAT?

Because YESTERDAY...there was a "social studies" professor who said..."If WE were in control WE would do Communism right"

Notice the WE..."he and his group" the WE are smarter than anyone else and notice...he went straight to Communism... skipping all of the "colors on the multicolor flag" for GREY...

Hmmm the Communist and Socialist UNIFORM ...is what color?

                    GRAY...

And...ummm what was the color of the Confederate Army uniform? Gray...

                    woodcanskinabuckandrunatrotlinesmoke

P.S. I think that aside from the "hotbed left" colleges and universities... who will always have a partner in big government...

The day of the school as in high school or "normal college" are doomed for... replacement by...

ONLINE EDUCATION...why? there is only a "behemoth" syllabus...there is only a "book and videos and whatever" produced by a "FACELESS corporation"...and the student either wades through it and gets a grade or does not...

there is no person standing in a classroom to shout at and threaten with raised fist...

And...if I get the online job...I don't have to leave my apartment except to walk with a concealed carry for when the "party" checks me for my communist party card and swim in the local creek...because scuba with a disabled person will be gone...

because to the left which has turned blue sky to green and green grass to ...toking da dope...

there ARE NO DISABLED people...especially when they just stay home and collect cheques from big government...out of sight out of political discussion...

and even they are doomed...because they will be ABORTED so that the woman can get on with jumping into more beds and the guy puts another notch in the neck of his bong.

No, the Founding Fathers are not the source of all truth, just the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, which is THE basis of the Rule of Law in America. As that Rule of Law becomes increasingly eroded so is our ability to speak our minds and conscience.

The Constitution, "That Little Book" as Piers Morgan so derisively called it, is what guarantees our freedom, as long as we have the courage to defend it. That is why it is under constant attack from both extremes. And, some of its attackers are surprising: elected politicians and government employees. Both of those groups, to hold the occupations they presently enjoy, had to swear an oath:

"I, ____________, do solemnly swear that I will UPHOLD AND DEFEND the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, both foreign and domestic, and I take THIS OBLIGATION willingly, without mental reservation or purpose of evasion."

What should be done with elected or appointed gov officials who violate their oath?

Antifa says they are against "facists", which appears to be everyone who disagrees with their POV, but THEY wear black clothing to signify their group culture while at the same time covering their faces with black masks to hide their identity so that they can attack other people and destroy property in an attempt to overthrow our government. The color of the clothing has changed but their attitude and behavior is exactly like the Brown Shirts a generation ago. A Nazi then is a Nazi now, i.e., a National Socialist movement.

IF nothing is done and they continue to subvert the body politic then the outcome is a foregone conclusion, which is on open display when reading about Venezuela.

If people cannot discuss differences and arrive at compromises (not one-side concessions) then the only alternative is to either live with the status quo or began a shooting war. If a shooting war starts then everyone looses.

I am POSITIVE that there was a camera at the latest "uprising" ...in other words ...SOMEbody know who "threw the first punch"...

                        I have a simple question.

WHY is is that the police did not say..."you guys this side of the street" and "you guys that side of the street" and us in between?

In part it was because of the streets themselves which were DESIGNED generations ago to... limit the movement of an attacking force and also a defending force...

that is what the "defenders" knew but couldn't do anything about...

Because in those days the defenders threw up a barricade and shot the attackers

now the defenders are defending SOMEBODY ELSE...

antifa know this...the communists know it, the progressives know it... they do not play by the rules and the media INTERRUPTS any kind of other idea ...

Whether you agree with Tump or not the last presser had the "fake media" INTERRUPTING every time he started to say anything...

In other words...STOP THE NARRATIVE ... so that the media's talking head is all that has a sound bite.

In other words the "antifa" knew this and knew exactly how to take advantage of it...

and the media went right along with it.

WHEN YOU... are being taken to the lockup for not agreeing with "whoever" you will look back at this with ...chagrin?

Big Brother got here about fourty years late but Big Brother is here in black masks so that they cannot be identified while...the other side...shows their faces because they "play by societal norm rules".

It is interesting to note that some, on both sides, claim that gov Terry McAuliffe told the police to stand down. “They (the KKK) want a violent exchange,” Mayor Mike Signer, also a Democrat, told USA Today. “That would be a gift with a bow on it.” But, the Antifa wants the exact same thing, as history has shown time and time again, a fact which Signer seems to ignore.

And, the media is now constantly referring to the Antifa as "counter protesters" or "staunch opponents", instead of naming them outright as the Antifa. That's probably because people have become well aware of the violence that the Antifa has been doing for the last year. YouTube if full of CellPhone videos showing their behavior, and up until recently, without any opposition.

The Left is beginning to see that the Antifa is not their friend despite the fact that most of the MSM continue to use the Antifa (which they label "counter protesters") as a foil against President Trump, in their continued attempts to delegitimize his presidency.

John Podesta, Hillary's campaign manager, received an email which contained a perfect description of the Antifa.
(I don't know if Podesta knew the sender or asked for the email. After reading that email I doubt that he did.)

The only good to come out of Europe’s destruction is the total demasqué of the Multikulti-Schweinerei – to use a bit of Führerbunker logic Thankfully, the demise of Germany and its vassal states may well spell the end of the Multikulti-Junkerk lasse, which has misruled Germany for decades now, deceiving Germany’s proles and peasants 24/7 from cradle to grave in every nook and cranny of German society à la the GDR and also throttling the life out of anyone suicidal enough to speak out and tell it like it is.Sitting posh and pretty, the multicultural junkers only use verbal violence against immigration debunkers, such as Thilo Sarrazin. Street thuggery and death threats have been contracted out to the Antifa-Linksnazis – Germany’s multicultural brown shirts – who have long had the run of the German Banana Republic. These hard-left street brawlers are the successors to the 1920s Communist Rotfront militia, which beat up and bumped off opponents as a matter of course. As the Nazis tightened their grip on power, vast numbers of Rotfront thugs and other Communists switched sides to become SAStorm troopers. In the early 1930s, Germans even joked that the SA was like a beefsteak: Brown on the outside and red on the inside.
Now, in America, it would be "Black on the outside and red on the inside.

And then the sender describes the "hope" that the German MNM had that Neo-Nazi violence would shut down the debate on Muslim immigration:

At the epicenter of the Multikulti-Junkertum are the German media, nicknamed Epic Lies “R” Us. Virtually all media outlets have long lied lavishly about utterly failed Muslim immigration – lying by flagrant omission, suggestion, implication, unfounded opinion and factual falsification. So what is the MSM’s deus ex machina, for when multicultural sentiment threatens to turn sour, despite their frenetic efforts to keep up the charade?

Well, journalists then scour German Muslim land for a successful, articulate and simpatico individual – in other words, someone who’s totally unrepresentative of his wider community – and brazenly hold up that personas being representative of his wider community. Not the brightest bulbs in the box, mega-masses of Krauts still swallow such ur-primitive propaganda hook, line and sinker. But what would really be manna from heaven is an upsurge in Neo-Nazi violence, which, many must be hoping, would once again shut down a grownup public debate about Germany’s Non-Western Immigration Disaster. Yep, that would work fine for a while. Over the long haul? Nope. With millions upon millions of minority misfits flooding into the Heimat, there will come a time when portraying Muslim-Gettoisierung as multikulturelle Bereicherung makes journalists look dumber than impregnated alien abductees. In the thick of a full-on ghettoized Germany, their favorite motto – “Lieber ein Gutmensch als ein Schlechtmensch” – will sound as grotesque as the wooden slogans used by other discredited forms of extremism.
And finally, orc100, the sender, finishes off the email quoting Dave Berry's rules for debating:

Dave Barry’s list of tips for winning any argument on any topic.
(The lastpoint is still used copiously by Germany’s Ur-Infantile Left. Multicultural Extremism flourishes in the shadow of Hitler.)

                              Use snappy and irrelevant comebacks.
You need an arsenal of all-purpose irrelevant phrases to fire back at your opponents when they make valid points. The best are:

                              You’re begging the question.
                              You’re being defensive.
                              Don’t compare apples to oranges.
                              What are your parameters?

This last one is especially valuable. Nobody(other than engineers and policy wonks) has the vaguest idea what“parameters” means.

Don’t forget the classic: YOU’RE SO LINEAR.

Compare your opponent to Adolf Hitler.

This is your heavy artillery, for when your opponent is obviously right, and you are spectacularly wrong. Bring Hitler up subtly. Say, “That sounds suspiciously like something Adolf Hitler might say,” or “You certainly do remind me of Adolf Hitler.”

I DO NOT CARE ABOUT TRUMP...what is important is what is HAPPENING to Trump.

This was shown in full flower at Trump's presser on Infrastructure.

The very second that he asked for questions the first question was not about the POLICY it was about the rioting in Charlotesville.

What he SAID was..."both sides have blame". Which they DO.

But...he could not even get the words out of his mouth before multiple "people looking for a talking point in front of a camera" INTERRUPTED over and over so that he could not get anything out.

Would they have done this to Obama, or Billary or any other lefty...um...NO.

The media is dead set against Trump. If North Korea bombed Guam and Trump sent jets to intercept the media would not allow him to answer any question without interruption.

They do not want THE PEOPLE to actually hear what he says... they MIGHT agree with him.

The first thing that TYRANTS DO is SILENCE the opposition...

woodisgladthathehasQMMPonthebigscreensohecan...wha t WAS it that the liberals used to tell the people who didn't like filth t.v...Change the channel...smoke

only now it is not "change the channel" it is destroy the channel.
