Last week the Failing New York Times published...
    I smell bias...

Did you smell the facts that the NYT print subscription has collapsed, that they've had to move out of and rent out the top eight floors of their building, which they only moved into 10 years ago, to generate revenue, that they've laid off a large number of reporters and editors, and the Public Opinion site didn't generate the revenue they thought it would, so they shuttered it?

      http://www.politico.com/media/story/...uarters-004896

But, you never know, Alexa and Politico could be stealth Conservative websites! And, the NYT could be lying about their website being blocked by China since 2012, which raises the question as to how the NYT got 250,000 Chinese visitors clicking their site so quickly a month after Trump's election victory.

Politics is so much fun these days, but probably not as much fun as when Congressmen resorted to duels to settle their differences. Now, they've brought back "yellow journalism" and use conveniently "unnamed sources" to character assassinate their opponents.

I am also amused by the Left's self-righteous "outrage". Remember six years ago when the Left impugned Sarah Palin for using a surveyor's target in her campaign ads, targeting 20 Democrat districts prior to Gifford being shot by a mentally ill person? Even though she won 18 of the 20 the MNM always linked her wins to the Gifford shooting, with the not too subtle claim that Palin herself was responsible.

Now we have the Left depicting the murder of President Trump as an "art piece". No blame there? Of course not. It's always do as I say, not as I do, with the Left. Their double speak gives an even deeper meaning to the word "hypocrite".

          Where to begin...

I am not saying that the New York Times is flourishing. All Im saying is that if an article starts out with a politically charged quote from someone who has an unhealthy obsession with the New York Times, then maybe that article is biased.

I never heard this before and I would consider myself left. Maybe the left's outrage isn't all that outrageous?

Now we have the Left depicting the murder of President Trump as an "art piece". No blame there? Of course not. It's always do as I say, not as I do, with the Left. Their double speak gives an even deeper meaning to the word "hypocrite".
Im always amused by quotes like this. How many liberals do you know that are applauding her? There are some out there possibly, but everyone I know agrees that she went to far. I feel like you are learning about these terrible liberals through an outlet that is trying to portray them as the enemy. And if we really want to go down the 'hypocrite' road, lets remember that for eight years protesters in America depicted president Obama in less than kind ways.

These horrendous liberals are Americans just like you are. Instead of blaming them for everything wrong with America, how about we focus on something constructive. Like maybe how corrupt Washington is. Or maybe how that corruption has seeped into the media, both sides of the media. Lets stop reading polarizing new sources and attempt to come together as a country.

If we stopped reading polarizing news sources we'd have to turn off most of the MNM. That's why my sig says "There is no truth in the news and no news in the truth". It's an old Russian proverb coined in response to news articles in Pravda and Investia (Truth and News).

Lets stop reading polarizing new sources and attempt to come together as a country.
That "polarizing news source" I quoted was Politico, a Left wing rag.

Sadly, I fear that coming together as a country is not possible any more. That is because one side wants to neutralize the Constitution and replace it with the UN Charter. The other side wants the Rule of Law under the Bill of Rights and the Constitution. Those two goals are 100% incompatible. What would be the "compromise" ground that both sides could agree to?

The 1st Amendment, for example, can NOT coexist with Political Correctness. One of the philosophies has to go. 1984 Double Speak is rampant and ordinary words have been cordoned off and the "rights" to use them assigned to protected political groups. The 4th and 5th Amendments are empty shells. Accusation is equated to guilt. Nothing could be more obvious in the totally MNM generated hype against Trump and his supposed "Russian connections". There's not a shred of balance left in any of them. It's even worse now than what it was during the campaign, and we have Wikileaks Podesta Emails to prove how the MNM conspired with the Democrats to get Hillary elected.

It's alright for some to call themselves AntiFa (antifascists), wear masks to conceal their identity while they dress and act as fascists Nazi Brown Shirts, while attacking people and destroying property, as long as the people being attacked are accused of being Nazis. Proof is unnecessary. If someone disagrees with their political view that someone is automatically a Nazi and has become a valid target for bullying, ridicule, doxing and physical attacks. In Democrat run cities police stand by and do nothing until the victims attempt to defend themselves. How do you "come together" with people who behave like those they claim to be against?

Obama wanted a One Million man civilian "army", equally trained and armed as our regular military. For what? Who were they going to fight that the National Guard, or Army, or Navy or Air Force couldn't? Is civil war coming? Many on both sides think so, and some hope so. I hope not.

Left wing news sources can be just as polarizing as right wing ones...

Wouldnt her "art" also be freedom of speech?

We could do this all day. You could blame the left for everything I can blame the right and we can get all heated up and come to no conclusion at all in the end. Or we could understand that we actually want more or less the same thing and that people in power strive to divide us for their own gain.

Here in the UK we have recently acknowledged the first anniversary of Jo Cox MP, brutally murdered by an extremist loner. (Which extreme he came from is irrelevant in my opinion).

Jo was greatly respected because it was her belief that in her "ethnically diverse constiuency, that which binds us together is far greater than that which divides us".

Sadly, we now have even more need of parliamentarians of her like than previously.

Just like Piss Christ, eh? No, that theatrical play has gone beyond art and has jumped the shark, inviting malcontents and mentally ill to emulate the actors and actually attempt to do the deed. After all, the Left was blaming Palin for Gifford's shooting based on the flimsiest excuse, that a surveyor's icon is like the image of a telescopic rifle sight, and no proof at all that the mentally ill person used those political campaign posters as motivation.

Do we want "more or less the same thing"? Did you want that conservative political parties to be hamstrung by denying them 501c4 status for over three years, which prevented them from collecting campaign contributions, in a political environment where getting the message out equates to purchasing massive amounts of ads?

IF these "artists" truly believed they were doing art then where is their art depicting Mohammed as the person he was? Are they afraid to speak their truth to that power for fear of what happened to the editors of Charlie Hebdo?

Did you want the top journalists of the MNM to attend a dinner given by Posdesta so they could discuss and coordinate on how to report Hillary's campaign? We continue to see the results of that collusion today, even worse. The Dems and the MNM has doubled down and plans to make the "Russian Connection", despite the lack of a single iota of proof, their main thrust till the mid-terms. IF they truly wanted to find out who was colluding with Russia I suggest they start here:

Of course, the conventional Dem & MNM wisdom was that his hot mic topic was about missile defense. Uh huh.

Let's cut to the chase. There are three major forces vying for supremacy in the world today. ALL of them are religions: Marxism (including all of its many pseudonyms), Christianity (Catholic and Protestant), and Islam (Sunni and Shia).

Each are irreconcilable to the others by virtue of their teachings and dogmas. Atheism is not a "neutral ground", since there no atheists professing to believe in the existence of God and the divinity of Christ, or, that Allah is god, although many claim to be for personal or political advantage.

I've been a practicing Christian since the second Wednesday of March, 1962. Christianity has been in decline for 30 years. England and Europe demonstrate that by the fact that most church buildings have been closed or converted to public use. Attendance is down 97%, with Easter, Christmas, births and deaths being the only times many supposed Christians attend a worship service. Jesus, when talking about the End Times asked a rhetorical question: "When I come will I find Faith?". Good question.

Marxists will eventually gain the upper hand because everyone likes free stuff, despite the fact that TINSTASFL. Christianity will be declared a mental illness and suppressed on that basis. That political ground work has already been laid. The final battle will be between Marxists and Islamist, and as things are progressing in Europe, the Islamist are winning. It is already too late for Europe. Within 30 years Europe will be a Caliphate, which won't tolerate inclusiveness, and they will win with their birthrate. They isolate themselves in their conclaves and refuse to "assimilate", despite what Leftists say and believe. The same thing is happening here in America, with Muslims focusing on towns in Minnesota and Michigan, and taking political control.

Here is something you probably didn't know about Christians: they are taught to pray for those in power because "the powers that be are ordained by God". I did, and I do. Until the Constitution is completely suppressed, which it will be some day soon, I have a right to political activity and I exercise it out of concern for my grandchildren, because at 76 I probably won't be around much longer.

If our freedom of speech has to conform itself to fit your opinion and everyone elses opinion, we arent going to have very much freedom left.

No, I dont want this. I want less money in political elections and I want them to be fair. Rules should apply to all parties and individuals.

Maybe they dont feel like drawing Mohammed. Not everyone has to draw Mohammed to be an artist.

Did you want the top journalists of the MNM to attend a dinner given by Posdesta so they could discuss and coordinate on how to report Hillary's campaign?
No, I didnt want this. I dont like Hilary and was pretty pissed off when she won the primary, which was clearly designed to have her win.

This is simply not true. First, Marxism is not a religion and there are very few people who still believe that it is a valid political theory. What about the US? And Russia? And China? Seeing all the worlds issues through the lens of religion is folly.

                        Who is a Marxist?
                        https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/Marxism

                        Or:
                        https://www.quora.com/Whats-the-diff...-and-Communism

Marxist like to hide behind less innocuous sounding labels: Liberal (but not in the classic western cultural sense), Progressive or Socialist, but the end result is always the same: See China, Russia, Cuba, Venezuela, or read up on the old USSR and its client states in the Eastern Block.

In our own Congress we have the Congressional Progressive Caucus.
Sometimes they slip and spill the beans about their intents:

Maxine Waters held an honorary seat with the Workers World Party, a radical pro-Russian political organization that is often used as a Russian propaganda machine, and she wants Trump impeached for imaginary links to Russia!

Howard Dean sends a msg of congratulations to PES. Especially note the segment where Bill Clinton talks about the tough times "social justice" had following the fall of the USSR- no funding, no leadership.

I could go on but I'm taking my wife out to dinner for her 73rd birthday! (I may add more later, but the Internet is full of links between Democrats and Marxism, Socialism, Russia. They are getting smarter, how ever. I noticed a few years ago that they removed links on their web pages to Students for a Democratic Society (SDS). By the way, what ever happened to that old underground Weatherman bomber, Bill Ayres. That's right, he hobnobs with Obama!

Cognitive dissonance. So only approved "free speech" is to be allowed. This from people who dress in black, wear masks to conceal their identities and attack the property of people they disagree with, and even those people. Maybe their victims should start wearing a yellow Star of David so the antifa will feel right at home as the successors to the Brown Shirts?

I'd ask a question, playing the distaff side.

I would really like for someone to find a "conservative" art museum that has anything like: pi##Allah, pi##KarlMarx, pi$$Buddah, pi$$Confucius.

And there really IS a major "conservative" art museum which celebrate(s)(ed) : Black Unity, Warhol, Ceorgia O'keefe, "Van Gogh to Rothko". ( who are, as we all know, NOT very conservative artists".

But... not a single "anti-left" exhibit to be found.
