Have British citizens gone stark raving mad?

Or, are they no longer in control of their own government and future?

Benjamin Franklin once wrote to the Governor of Pennsylvania:
Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.
There was a "yearly heavy Expences in cultivating and maintaining Friendship with the Indians,..." which, when those funds dried up, resulted in attacks by the Indians on frontier settlements.
The governor it seems, wanted the freemen of Pennsylvania to give up their freedom and liberty in the right to determine their own taxation so that he could avoid paying taxes on his land by paying temporarily for the defense of the settlements.

The British citizens have voted themselves into a police state by assuming they could vote for politicians who promised them safety in exchange for their freedoms. Now, they have neither, because the politicians refuse to admit where the dangers lie, and the police spend more time prosecuting British citizens who write or vocalize complaints about the problem than they do fighting against the problem, which is the Islamization of Britain.

With the passage of the "Snooper Law" England has essentially become a police state.
The Investigatory Powers Bill, which was all but passed into law this week, forces internet providers to keep a full list of internet connection records (ICRs) for a year and to make them available to the Government if asked. Those ICRs in effect serve as a full list of every website that people have visited, rather than collecting which specific pages are visited or what's done on them.
    ...
The bill – which forces internet companies to keep records on their users for up to a year, and allows the Government to force companies to hack into or break things they’ve sold so they can be spied on
It is the equivalent of weaponizing government agencies against selected groups of citizens, like Obama did with the IRS, the BTFA, the BLM, the EPA, etc...

Thus, the IRS is no longer just about collecting taxes, it is also about restricting the ability of some groups to receive 501 tax exemptions so they can not effectively compete in elections against groups given tax exemption status. The EPA is no longer about protecting the environment. They are about spreading the message of "environmental justice" which, just like the IRS, favors one political viewpoint in the political spectrum and impeding other view points.

Every Federal agency should be politically neutral or should be defunded and dissolved.
"A nation that is afraid to let its people judge the truth and falsehood in an open market is a nation that is afraid of its people.”
    – John F. Kennedy, February 26, 1962.
