I am guessing this will be no news to most, but I need a break from work so..
There are bunch on disposable mail services but I prefer yopmail.com. It has the same functionality as mailinator.com but it does not seem blocked as often on site signups.
For me, the most important features in disposable mail services are at least one day email retention, ability to create obfuscated email alias (so that others cannot just see/use your mailbox) and RSS feed (which can be used with akregator for new email notifications without having to go to the website to check it).
