I studied all that naturalpathic stuff around 1998-2001, and there just isn't much to it, not much science. Except common sense measures for general health (like eat veggies, fruits, nuts, whole grains; avoid excess sugar, booze, drink water, exercise--even walking, etc.). But the herbs? Boy, take your chances with your check book on that one. Most herbs are not proven; many have questionable content; and some may even have undesirable side effects. When you need surgery, get a real surgeon! Surgeons do perform "miracles."
As the saying goes, ageing is not for sissies. Getting older usually means being at more risk for various diagnoses. The immune system wants to slow down (and so you gotta keep trying to boost it, naturally with good food and rest and exercise).
To the message of this thread: Be grateful for the health you do have; be grateful for the ailments you don't (yet) have; and don't fret about your list of ailments. Keep moving. Death isn't real good at hitting a moving target.
