Well, isn't that what we do all the time here? We don't expect to be slammed and derided here for that (and we aren't ... for the most part). I've criticised Plasma5 quite a bit but haven't felt like I was an apostate for doing so.

Actually there have been a few here to complain. Even I have but we for the most part have this forum that is tolerant. I've never seen anyone here slammed for it. It is one of the driving factors I stay here.

THANKS!! I learn something new every day it seems and it also seems that I regularly learn something new from...YOU!

        Apricity OS

And that terminal looks like what eventually gave rise to the Kub terminals....If the JohnnieMan had not passed this mortal coil he would have probably put the dingus on his terms for grabbing stuff from the beltways!

Apricity is based on Arch and built in Chicago!

It calls the Ubuntu Fire Wall the "Uncomplicated Fire Wall"!

Its forum is manned by folks who seem to be the antithesis of Arch's forum, but many solutions are linked to the Arch forum.

A fellow who calls himself "loup" had an interest post about using btrfs because he could make easy, multiple backups of various configurations and switch at will. He also had several other distros installed on subvolumes, like Oshunluvr does!

            I have, and I don't.
I'm not even running Kubuntu at the present.

This forum has a different spirit. About the only things not allowed are personal attacks and obvious drive-by shootings.
We've had some pretty intense exchanges over a variety of topics in and outside of Linux without degenerating into hostility. Questions about all distros AND Windows receive courteous and helpful answers, if possible.

It's all based on mutual respect and following the advice given thousands of years ago: treat others as you would have them treat you.

Hey, anymore rethoric like that and I'll have to ask you to leave! Oh, wait; this isn't "that" Forum. My bad!

                I agree with Snowhog.

treat others as you would have them treat you.
That's a trivial and unnecessary thing to say, and anyone would assume such without saying it. I support deleting that whole useless post.

I personally would not denigrate anyone for criticizing Plasma 5 or other linux features. Frequently, the criticism is valid and might even lead to a resolution eventually, or at least an interesting discussion.

I do often have a difficult time keeping my tongue with people lodging complaints without posting any real information or attempting any sort of research or trying anything to resolve the issue. That might be perceived as arch-forum-ish I suppose. I usually do a count-to-five mantra or simply move to the next post.

However, those that come here and make demands or threats like they'll "go back to using windows" are very irksome. I rarely manage to let those posters have a pass. At a minimum, I will point out that they paid nothing for the OS and we are volunteers and that nasty tones or poor attitudes will not engender assistance. I've noticed that these types rarely stick around very long. I suspect they're not really in search of solutions. Rather, they're looking to create drama to justify their anger-skewed view of the world and I doubt if any of them have ever stopped to wonder why their posts are so unpopular.

Who really gives a damn whether people 'return to using Windows'? If they come here in good faith, make a Boy-Girl-Whatever Scout effort to learn to use Kubuntu, then, yes, most of us will bend over backwards to help bring them aboard. But the whiny, pseudo-threatening "I'll just have to keep Windows," crap is crap. Windows is no real solution to anything; problems exist with it that must be solved, and sometimes no clear solution exists per se. And, and, and .... out of breath ...

I feel your pain, brother. The whole I'm-entitled-to-have-you-fix-my-problems-for-me attitude really sticks in my craw. What I usually WANT to respond is "Going back to Windows? Thank goodness, then you won't be here wasting everyone's time."

I usually ignore such complainers. A single post with no responses, or secondary posts that still complain ... no responding posts usually ends the rant. On a couple of occasions persistent ranters had to be blocked

What? I couldn't believe what I read here. In another post you mentioned that you actually liked the Cinnamon desktop which is built using GTK+3.

                              It must be...
