Time for Adobe to consider killing it for good.

You beat me to it, I've just read a story on the BBC web site about the same thing.

Not that you should keep it around necessarily, but .204 is out and not marked bad by FF.

Finally! But get ready for all the belly-aching and whining from Flash users. Sorry, I have little sympathy.

Any bets on how long it will take to have the Flash installation requests removed from all browsers?

Flash should have died years ago.

I have a problem with freshplayerplugin. In case somebody else has this too, here's kind of a solution.
It wasn't updated for some time. After reading about flash-security-problem number 366859470 I looked into it. Had to change the PPA.
                  Updated to 18.0.0.209.
I had the plug-in 'active always'. With this version of freshplayerplugin Firefox crashes completely after playing flash three times or more. I don't know when this started, because I missed some versions from freshplayerplugin. Removing freshplayerplugin stopped the crashing. Reinstalling it started the crashes again.
I tried flashplug-installer: no problem, no crashes. So it has to do with freshplayerplugin.
I've read on the net more people have problems with it. Maybe flash, maybe freshplayerplugin.
Maybe it's just some weird combination with some add-on, I didn't investigate that.
After setting the plug-in on 'Ask before activate' (or something like that, my system is Dutch) the crashes stopped.
After two days I found out I never had to activate it! So maybe in a few days I'll remove it completely, since html5 video is more and more the standard.
For the moment I'll keep it around for a short time, because there may be a site I have to use it. But since that probably means crashing afterwards that has to be a very, very, very, interesting site...
