Interesting suggestion in the comments on that article:
(Also experiment with Firefox plug-ins that change your browser string to "iPad" on those sites - many sites that ostensibly require Flash will relent and work without it when your browser claims to be an iPad.) -
I keep hoping the developers will stop using Flash, in favor of better options like HTML5, but...
