    Today is the 239th birthday of America; the United States of America, established on a foundation like no other county before or since. Is She 'perfect'? No. But what country ever established was (or is)? Has She made mistakes? Yes. But what country has not?

    Happy Birthday America! May you have many, many more.

        Why do we call this holiday by its date, "the 4th of July," rather than its actual name, Independence Day?

        I mean, we don't go around asking people, "What gifts did you receive for the 25th of December?" That's just goofy, hah.
