I have just upgraded my kernel to the above and wow everything works like a dream. My soundcard (Cambridge Audio DAC Magic 100) is now properly recognised and the sound quality seems to have improved markedly (My wife agrees too).
I am usually wary of upgrading to the latest kernel; rather waiting for the distro to upgrade. But this time I'm glad I did. I guess 15.10 will use this when it comes out next month? I hope so
