Microsith has cause to be worried from young millenials

    I'll keep this simple.........

DO NOT SLAM ME FOR THE BLOND THING.........I am complimenting her when other people slam "blonds" about "computer stuff".

I took in a Presentation, that I had produced using Calligra.........gotta keep it simple........ no frills........

Saved and Opened in LO Presenter.............

formatted some text and inserted some images........

THEN RAN IT THROUGH MY NOW DECLARED ILLEGAL BY MICROSITH.....perfectly valid with serial number purchased years ago.......

Powerpoint 2000... and saved as .pptx.....

Seee I even upgraded like a good little boy.....pat me on the head!!

saved..........and changed "permissions" to............ "read only"........

took it to the college as PPTX.........as I have done many times before....

and Microsith.......... "put a big red X" on the slides in the preview to the left and then Powerpoint said that ALL slides were "corrupted" and could not display them....... blank slides...............

THIS IS A NEW TWIST ON THE BIG RED X THAT APPEARED...........

    last year on Win7...

I fiddled with it for a few minutes and this boy that is going into IT said something to the effect that it is a Windows 8 thing and maybe he could help, so I said go for it.......he tried and nada.........

A blond, sitting in the back.........who DOES.......contribute regularly to the dialectic of the physics class said........"I can fix it."

The boy had gone back to his seat........

AND WHAT SHE DID I HAVE NO CLUE......

But she came up, did a couple of keystrokes......and there it was!.......

I said that we should all give her a round of applause and......."what did you do?".......

And she turned around and said............"Ummm I don't know but I knew that I knew how to fix it."

Methinks that the YOUNG millenials...........have wised up.

just a thought ...of little worth.
