Kubuntu 14.04 on an Acer Aspire One AO521

    Flts like a glove!!!

My wife has been running a previous version of Kubuntu since I purchased that netbook for her as an XMas present in 2010.

Yesterday I created a LiveUSB stick so I could install 14.04 on it.
(An aside: make sure the USB stick is formatted with DOS32. The creation of the LiveUSB will fail if it is formatted with EXT4).

The previous installation would not show the battery info and its system tray icon was red-x'd out. With 14.04 not only is the battery icon fully functional, it also shows the amount of power remaining in the optical mouse battery as well.

And, I'd estimate that 14.04 is about 25-30% faster than Precise was on that netbook.
