Heh, should have known someone would ask that !

Actually, no I haven't! I'm still trying to work out what the best option for backups is. There's a command line tool called drush (Drupal shell) that looks like it's ideal, you can back up the database and content/images all in one. Plus, because it's a command line tool you can automate it with CRON.

I imagine it'll be well worth the time investment to learn!

Are you planning incremental backups or a full image? Both?

Look at rdiff-backup. Older software but highly configurable and cron-able.

Pretty damn silky compared to the Pi. It's a real luxury having a bit more oomph

I'm not really doing anything very taxing with it at the moment though, I will have to see how quickly ownCloud runs on it, it was very slow when syncing files on the Pi (but still useful).

I think the database and website files are all I need really, Apache and the other bits are pretty simple to set up, so starting again from scratch with those wouldn't be the end of the world.

I'll look into rdiff-backup, thanks for the pointer!

Not my system by the way, just something I found and due to this thread this leapt out at me.
