I also like the line from the old action movie Cliffhanger by John Lithgow's character, "Kill a few people, they call you a murderer. Kill a million and you're a conqueror. Go figure.". We do love to label people...

To some a hero to others a traitor. I do not think he is a hero, nor a traitor. More like a misguided idealist.

I wouldn't make that comparison. Walter Mitty was clueless. I don't think Snowden did what he did blindly. He knew what the consequences might be, right up to being sanctioned. I suspect that he was scared to death when he did it. Personally, I consider him an American hero, compared to those Walter Mitty's manning the drones, the snooping video screens and microphones on buses, etc..., who KNOW what they are doing and are under the illusion they are working to further freedom, or are just in it for the money.

The more I read about Edward Snowden the more I am thinking that he is simply a Walter Mitty character

Targets included the Chinese and Russian military as well as drug cartels, the newspaper claimed.
That seems implausible. The spy would have to be within radio range of the computer. It would mean that the NSA has "assets" inside those groups. Secondly, the Chinese and Russians no doubt scan for unknown radio transmissions within their facilities. Thirdly, even if NSA had that capability the fact that they seem blissfully unaware of the many events that have taken place over the years, or didn't react to them, suggests they don't have the capability. Why put "assets" at risk if they are not going to use the Intelligence.

Funny that they call that "Latest Leak." The story is based on 7 year old documents that were released 3 years ago. Apparently, nobody cared much then.

Good point. I usually change to 1 or 11, because these have no overlap with 6.

My friend at college once picked up a wifi called "CSI Detroit" but that couldn't be the case in Windsor, ON. lol
