Mine is a 2006 macbook. Interesting that you had no problem. Maybe I should just take the risk and try it. I suppose no harm is done if it doesn't work, you just eject the disk and it boots back into mac OS as normal?

You will need to use the Mac disk (it's efiless) the BIOS compatility should work. Just hold option to get to the boot manag3r

It looks like the disk I downloaded (the first one on this page http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/kubuntu/re...13.04/release/) is meant to be compatible with Intel macs. It should work. excited!
