When Yahoo "upgraded" a few months ago, I started having nothing but problems with it on my computer and my Android smartphone.
I somehow got the Yahoo on the computer to act "kinda right" by ticking the "classic mail" box. There are still adverts but they are liveable.
In terms of a "free" Yahoo for Android, ( I know we are discussing "computer e-mail" but ..) "Aquamail", has a TON of settings, I do the absolute minimum....
there is an "advert e-mail" that appears at the top, but it just sits there and I don't click it. It goes away and another appears a few days later.
, but, like I said, I disabled "push" disabled all of the bells and whistles
and just hit the "refresh" button and if a new "throwaway" message shows, I read it.
If there was an "aquamail" for my computer I would jump on it! lol
