    kubuntu on a stick 400mb

trying to make a 400mb or less ISO using kde, kubuntu 12.10

goal is to be able to install on a 2 gig USB stick..

I know xfce better then KDE, but I want to know what can be removed, what is safe to remove without screwing the system up?

    all updates will be applied,

VLC, Chrome, Lancelot launcher and a few others will be installed,

Chrome will have many plugins, security related.. etc

may use the Liquorix kernel if its faster, after i fully test it.

1 theme, 1 wallpaper, 1 everything, English only.. etc

Printer support, and all printer drivers will be removed, cups, samba etc,

all wifi drivers or internet related drivers will be kept, video, bluetooth etc.

All bulk junk or junk no one uses or no one cares about will be removed...

The kubuntu-desktop /1/ is depending /2/ and recommending some packages. It is safe to remove the recommended packages.

VLC, Chrome, Lancelot launcher and a few others will be installed,...
VLC, then you probably don't need the dragonplayer ?
Chrome, then you probably don't need the kubuntu-firefox-installer or rekonq ?
    etc...

It all depends what you want to install ?
    - web browser
    - mail app
    - chat app
    - office suite
    - media players
    - picture viewer
    - package manager
    - webcam support
    - additional plasma widgets
    - additional fonts

It won't help with space, but you could try installing
      Code:
      kubuntu-low-fat-settings
for a faster KDE. Most of the "junk" will still be there, but will not be running.
