I tend to keep the default cursors now days. I got my fill of animated cursors in my Windows 98 SE days, but I do remember they were entertaining at the time. Everybody has different tastes though.
    Nowadays I'm mostly Mac, but...

Stock cursor. I don't need an animated cursor.

Gosh, never even thought about this issue until seeing this thread.

Stock cursor. Looks good, simple, functional....thats all I want in a cursor.

I used Protozoa for a while but it kind of creeps me out. Mostly I have used the stock cursor, but I do like an offbeat cursor theme so recently I swtiched to Klemma:

It's got some little non-distracting animations, but it's also quite functional so I'm happy with it.

So far Oxygen Yellow/Blue/Black at size 48. Over sized cursors are fun..

I use the default Oxygen White cursor.

Lol at oversized cursors. I did this once at work on my Kubuntu machine and my workmate who used it to check something was like "wtf?". It was hilarious how we had to laugh. xD
