Amazon has a smaller selection than netflix, and it comes bundled with Prime. So, if you don't take advantage of the shipping benifits- it may be more expensive (I got it for half price)

I agree. Being a student has serious benefits when it comes to using Amazon Prime. 6 moths free but no streaming then. Then its half price.Comment

Have you tried Hulu? It works fine in Linux. Not as great a selection of shows as Netflix, but it is growing every day.Comment

Well, the problem is that I just was never into the whole streaming video thing; and Netflix was presented as an opportunity for a short, or long, while at no cost in the short term, so I'll check HULU out. Thanks.
