    A KDE3 w Trinity and Caldav enabled.

This really is an intriguing project for several reasons.

    a) Buried in the linky to Trinity from the article is something that has been of interest here: CalDav support out of the box. ( a nod to SR here, who has discussed it).
    b) Trinity was greatly pooh - poohed a few years ago. I tried it but it wasn't what I needed in terms of stability and being able to work out of the box, but, apparently it has "matured".
    c) Amarok, apparently, has the ability to go "semi-transparent" if the correct video card is present. WOAH! talk about an easter egg!

UNLESS that is referring to the fact that Amarok will go semi-transparent when it is MOVED on the display...don't know.

and BTW the gorgeous red theme really is gorgeous but I think I'd change it pretty quickly. lol

With the forks of KDE3 (Trinity) and Gnome2 (Mate), are applications for these desktops continuing to be developed or are they still using the old KDE3 and Gnome2 applications? When I first heard about Mate (Gnome2) my first thought was would I be using Gnome2 applications that have stopped developement?

      Hi
I have to apologize that your question is beyond my knowledge.
