Worlds fastest Supercomputer runs on Linux

The IBM Sequoia, the worlds fastest supercomputer, runs entirely on Linux! Cool. Just way cool.

These computers require a specialized OS which Windows doesnt really offer. So they construct their own OS using usually either Linux or Unix.

IBM had created their own version of Unix called AIX, I'm surprised they don't use that when creating their supercomputers.

Linux has vastly more developers than IBM can throw at AIX, so they go with the OS that has the largest development team.
