Like SecretCode mentioned, that isn't necessarily the case...example:
In a Dalmatian Owners Association conference, there are 99 people that own one dalmatian and 1 person that owns 101 dalmatians. On average the attendees own 2 dalmatians (200 dalmatians, 100 owners), but 99% of them have less than that.
