    Forecasted Tornado outbreak in Oklahoma

    Hey folks, if you're the praying sort, we'd appreciate your prayers here in Oklahoma this weekend. The National Weather Service (NWS) down in Norman just issued a HIGH risk of a tornado outbreak Saturday night. Coverage area includes Oklahoma City.

        Round one just came through the metro. Small tornado down in Norman (suburb of OKC). Minor damage to houses and some businesses.

          This subject made the NBC nightly newscast. I recall when living in the Midwest (IL & IN) during grad school being scared regularly by the sirens and running for the basement, sometimes several times a night. Know a gal who actually developed a phobia of bad weather/sirens in AK! No tornadoes on the desert SW, thank god!

                It's on Fox News as I type, commenting that the "worst" will happen in an hour or two.
