Lol
Just as a lark I decided to try to install Bodhi on a 4 gig usb stick and the install went fine, but...
I can do everything here at the forum except reply to a post! lol
It uses the Midori browswer and I tried to get all the things that I thought "it should have" to work correctly but apparently there is "something".
The only "error" in the install was "jack" but "jack" later installed, so...don't know.
I have just switched from gnome. I have come to the conclusion, after perusing three releases of Ubuntu, (the latest being the current beta version) that Gnome and Unity are either unusable, or at least only usable at a significant reduction of efficiency by me, by design. Some of the basic things I need have not worked since Natty. After a couple of months searching, I have settled on Kde. It seems to use system resources in a manner much closer to xfce than gnome. It is the only solution that does what I need it to do. I used Red Hat/Fedora for many years before switching to Ubuntu. The reason I switched was that Fedora repeatedly put out bleeding edge stuff that just didn't work easily enough for my taste. One of the distributions I tried in the last couple of months was Linux Mint Debian. I almost stayed with it, but I am a little weak when it comes to things like finding and installing proprietary drivers, and Ubuntu seems to have significantly better support in this area. I am very happy with Kde so far.

Maybe Bohdi doesn't know jack!

Test of installed FF and removed Midori in Bodhi works
so there is something about the Midori that is the problem.
Otherwise, I never really like the original implementations of Enlightnment but always did Bodhi's it is quick but still "Enlightenment".

If you decide to keep Bodhi around you'll need Midori as it uses it for it's packaging system (or at least did). Maybe they changed it tho. I haven't updated to 1.4 yet.
