Sure thing. Apart from negligible annoyances last 6 months were near nirvana experience for me. In another thread SR asked what would we do if all software were faultless. Well, we would very much enjoy ourselves. That's how I feel about Kubuntu and it's really great +1000.
Once you are more or less satisfied with the system and how all the apps you need perform - remember, nothing is perfect, not even you(or me) - cut all updates except security ones(I had to update to KDE 4.8.1 true, cause I'm a KDE fan, couldn't stop the drool any other way)!!!
Do that and you'll be a very happy camper with *buntu!
