    What a surprise, Symantec software is both vulnerable to and acts like a virus ^^

    What is surprising is how they are still afloat as a company, no one I know really thinks Norton AV is any good and most actually think it causes more harm to a system :S...

    I still remember my farther trying to uninstall it from his system a few years ago. Ended up having to use a third party util designed purely to remove Norton (why should such a thing exist in the first place??).

      Amazingly, the theft occured in 2006 !!!!

      Two thoughts occur to me:
      1) Were they protecting their bottom line for six years by keeping their own lack of security secret?
      2) If not #1, then how can they explain to their customes that they weren't aware of that break in for six years and can't keep their own systems secure and still sell the public AV software with a straight face?
