    WE'RE ON STORM WATCH!!!!

It's true--three raindrops have been spotted here in the San Gabriel Valley--I saw them myself, in my front yard!!, and all the LA stations are on storm watch!!

OMFG, I cannot believe these people. As I've said before, they may be *MY* people, but they're still ridiculous. They need to go live in Tornado Alley (Dallas) or hurricane central (Florida) like I did, then they'll have a clue what actually constitutes a storm.

Ha ha ha -- yes, I know about that "bad" California weather.

However, it can actually get treacherous at times. I clearly remember sitting at the Best Western motel just north of the Ontario airport, on Vinyard Avenue, in December of some year -- maybe it was 1983. Vinyard was a river, running about 2 feet deep for miles, and turned the Ontario airport into a lake. Someone got washed down a street in Cucamonga and died in their car. Strange weather for a low desert.

I remember standing muster in Coronado freezing our little bippies off in whites and soaking with sweat by noon! HORRIBLE weather...just horrid.

1.5 inches, eh, OL? We barely got 1.5 DROPS! (Okay, I counted them--definitely three raindrops.)

One good thing about this morning's "rain" was that it delayed construction on that monstrosity of a McMansion going up across the street. So I didn't get the fun of waking up to pounding and assorted other obnoxious sounds.
