      Re: Where is....

You could be right. Just did a quick review of the posts made by oneline, and they do have the 'feel' of posts made by Rog131/Rog132. Interesting.

He also has a PPA on LaunchPad.

I did find a post with his ID on a Mepis forum.

        Dunno about the OneLine theory.

Someone could email him, assuming his addy is still valid.

Any KFN member's email address is available to Moderators, but, contacting a member for 'casual' purposes is an invasion of their privacy, and we don't do that.

I can see his addy on his KFN profile, so I think that could arguably be interpreted as an invitation to all members. I understand why you might be reluctant to use it though.

This thread just leaves me to ponder the meaning of community in this digital realm. Can we be a community if we don't know each other to some extent? Is anyone here more than the content of their profiles and posts? How much of one's true personality remains after the lossy compression to ones and zeros?

Anyway, I think I'd miss him a bit if he stopped participating here.

              Re: Where is....

If his email address is visible to members in his profile, then yes, he has opted to make it available to members. Guests don't see email address of members.

So, yes, one could contact him via the email address he has made available to us.
