I have never seen this film before

and happen to see it while looking at another video.

Why would the Secret Service agents running beside or riding on Kennedy's car be recalled?

In the early 1980s I was working on (a) homicide (case) for the NE State Highway Patrol which involved a head wound. I went to the UNL library to do some research and in a chapter of a book on autopsies was a section on medical x-rays. It used the x-rays of JFK's head. The x-rays I saw are reproduced here, and on successive pages.

    Very Intriguing.

    I will add this.

I had this related to me about two weeks after the assasaination.

A friend of mine was friends with a guy that went to Dallas to visit relatives and went to see the motorcade.

He heard the shots and instead of looking at the book repository was, instead, facing the opposite direction and saw....

"the three men" on the "grassy knoll" with rifles.

    He thought nothing of it.

A week later after all the ruckus he told a supervisor, when he returned to work, what he had seen and asked that it possibly be reported.

The next week he was called away to go to a federal installation for "interview".

    He did not come back.

When his parents were contacted they said that he had "suddenly gone insane" and was being held by federal authorities.

The guy was never seen again.

I....personally, called called "long distance" Jim Garrison's office and reported what I was told about three years later. A "secretary" took the information and nobody every called me back.

Every few years, I would bring this up with my friend, and he always said that "nobody" was able to contact the guy because he was "violently insane"....

The critical point here is that this "hearsay" information was provided within about two weeks of the assassaination which is a LONG time before the conspiracy theories arose. It is also not "this guys second uncle third cousin removed said...".....the fellow was my friend who had NO REASON to be "making something up".....who was reporting what happened to a guy with whom he worked.

Ipso posto facto.... the information was not a "conspiracy theory" it was a statement of what the guy saw and what he wanted to report.

Re: I have never seen this film before

I am fascinated by the JFK assassination. When we moved to Dallas [don't even ask WHY we did that...definitely the worst decision of my life...this California girl was a fish out of water in that backward, oppressive, conservative place... *sigh*], one of the first things we did was visit Dealey Plaza.

For many years I totally bought into the theory that a lone gunman could not have killed Kennedy. I am not, by any stretch of the imagination, a conspiracy theory type person. So it's not that I bought into the conspiracy theories as much as it simply didn't make sense to me that one person could fire shots that APPEARED to have come from different directions. The Warren Commission report? Ha! I dismissed that as so much nonsense.

And then a few years ago along comes this show on Discovery called JFK: Inside the Target Car...and it changed everything for me. In my opinion it should be required viewing for everyone who doubts that Oswald could've been the lone gunman. In this show they recreate every aspect of the assassination--and they explain something that I don't recall ever seeing/hearing before, despite having watched and read copious amounts of other shows/reports/articles. They explain the actual geometry of the presidential limousine, showing how Kennedy's seat was higher than Connolly's and offset slightly. So the "magic bullet" that conspiracy theorists claim had to hang in the air and do aerial acrobatics to hit both men was completely discredited. They also showed how the "pristine bullet" could pass through two men and come out undamaged.

It's been a while since I've seen this show. I did have it on the DVR but I deleted it when I needed space. Next time it's on, you'd better believe I'll be watching!

Umm Kennedy's head moves the way it does because of a law not a theory, cospiratorial or otherwise. The law is Newton's 3rd which is not to be confused with Rachmaninoff's 2nd, Custer's 7th or a fifth of whisky or even for that matter two fingers of gin.

          I saw that ABC presentation.

I have also killed many animals, most with head shots, before I gave up hunting. With my training in Anatomy & Physiology I always took pains to investigate the results, to both the head and the bullet, to observe and learn the effects of the bullet on the body. I don't recall a single impact which resulted in brain matter being ejected back in my direction. Without exception the impact would make a single hole going in, slightly larger than the bullet, and the exit wound was always significantly larger or the side skull opposite to the entry point was blown away, as it was with Kennedy, with brain matter ejecting out, away from me and in the direction of the path the bullet was traveling.

I have a high definition copy of the Zapruder film, which I have analyzed, like many others, frame by frame at the moment of impact of the second bullet. Mrs Kennedy jumped up onto the back of the limousine to retrieve part of Pres. Kennedy's brain, which traveled toward the back and left rear of the vehicle. The left rear portion of the skull is blown apart into several pieces. Had that not taken place the brain piece could not have ended up where it did and a motorcycle policemen riding just behind and off to the left side of the limousine wouldn't have been splattered with blood and brain matter. One could argue that he rode into the cloud of ejecta but the Zapruder film shows otherwise, and physics dictates that the matter have the same initial velocity as body from which it came.

That suggests, as many believe, that a second shooter was standing somewhere in the direction of the grassy knoll.

The biggest problem I have with all of the investigation is the matter of the chain of custody of the evidence. The hospital orderly couldn't remember which gurney he found the "magic" bullet on, but later said it was Connely's. A person standing along the road opposite to the location where the vehicle was when the Pres. was hit heard a spent slug land in the gutter in front of him and turned it in, or so he claims. That slug is missing. There is hardly enough fragments to make up a second bullet, but the one which supposedly hit the two men is "pristine" and were those other fragments added to it the combined weight would be significantly above that of an unspent bullet of that type. Clothing, especially heavy material like suit jackets and knots of ties almost always leave weave impressions on the nose of the bullet, or the bullet contains pieces of the plug of clothing the bullet punches out. And, after passing through a folded up suit coat, a neck, a necktie knot, somehow breaking a rib bone, passing through the jump seat covering and padding, through another suit coat, through another body, through another shirt, shattering wrist bones, and passing through pants cloth one would expect significant damage to the nose of a bullet which does that, even a Copper jacketed one, along with pieces of bone, tissue, and blood smear. The "magic" bullet has none of that. In fact, except for the rifling groves, it looks like it wasn't even fired.

Oswald's assassination is as mysterious as Kennedy's.

Usually, I follow a trail of passion or money. This time I'd follow a trail of politics. Kennedy was extremely popular after the Cuban Missile Crisis because people recognized his coolness under "fire", resisting the generals recommendations to invade Cuba and establishing an embargo instead, and not flinching when Russian ships carrying missiles tested his resolve, prevented a nuclear war. He would have been, IMO, easily reelected. I ask myself, "Who benefited most from Kennedy's death?" The answer is obvious.

PS.-- We learned years later that Cuba had short range nuclear tipped missiles in launch positions ready to fire if an invasion took place. They had enough range to reach Washington DC and Kansas City, IIRC. Had we followed the generals advice this conversation would not be taking place and 500 million of the worlds inhabitants who survived would probably still be enjoying a mixture of life using 1800s technology, four legged transportation, mixed with a hodgepodge of salvaged 20th century technology, in those places containing enough good water and land unspoiled by nuclear fallout. I'm not sure where that would be, though.

Like I said, this show should be required viewing for anyone who doubts that Oswald was the lone gunman. They use science--not speculation, not conspiracy theories, not magic--to prove or disprove various aspects of the assassination.
