            Um, no! To the singing part that is

            Actually, as to friends and circles, it can seem that the same relative groups of people are following each other in various venues ie twitter/indentica, maybe facebook toi a certain level. Much as I like everyone I follow, I wonder if there were a better/easier way to find people to add to one's circles. My suggested people are for the most part all the linux and KDE 'regulars' if you will, the same ones I see everywhere already. I would guess as things progress and more people join in it will get broader.

            An dang, this all seems to be making google super slow for me sometimes

                  Well, nobody joined claydoh and I on our "hangout", but, I have to say that Google's video & audio using "hangout" is very good. The video is large and both the video and sound are of excellent quality. It's fast enough, at least for claydoh and I, that lips and sound are synced. On only one occasion did the video freeze for a second or two before it resycned. He and I both have intell video chips. I don't know of that makes a difference or not (Bosix REQUIRES Intel video chips IF you want to video chat, but doesn't if you want to share desktops remotely), but it would be interesting to try folks with other video chips.

                  Also, it appears that "Hangout" allows more than one-on-one video & voice connection. That's what we wante to test ... how things would work with more than two people at a time.

                            Hopefully no one gets jealous! This is during peak usage. It gets a little better during off hours. Wildblue consistently gets a one star rating!

                                With the nature of my satellite connection it generally doesn't matter. The closest server is in Syracuse, NY. If I do a google search for "poop", that query goes from me>satellite>Syracuse>satellite>me. A test from 150mi is actually worse. I live in Kentucky. If it is storming in Syracuse, and sunny here, my connection can go out! It is still better than dial up
