    Same here, I figured many Gnome applications cause more grief then ease since when I upgraded from 8.10 to 10.04, I prefer Kpackagekit over synaptic tbh, but muon is a blessing.

    aptitude search & sudo aptitude install/purge/remove are my fav. commands .. and I use nano over kate, Even last distribution upgrade went borked with GUI I fixed it with a proper CLI version upgrade.... I guess personal flavour is the way of the penguin, and the fact that its possible with GNULinux .... imagine a Vista->Win7 borked upgrade - format C:
