She had a stroke. No Medical Insurance, so no surgery.

Apologies to anyone who already reads "The Blog of Helios" by Ken Stark.

His partner, aged 64, had a stroke. They live in the USA. No medical insurance, no Medicare, so no surgery.

As someone who lives in the UK who has had a stroke, brain surgery in 2000 and 2001, heart problems and ambulanced to hospital several times, this means a lot to me... But we have a strange system in the UK called the "National Health Service."

    Ken's blog is here: http://linuxlock.blogspot.com/2011/0...e-used-in.html

I've had my share of health issues but I've never dealt with a stroke victim.

    Until my partner suffered one.

Last week during the morning while watching TV on the couch, Diane felt an immediate need to lay down. Once she did, she experienced an excruciating pain on the left side of her head.
