    Muon default on 11.10

I just read that Muon Software Center will be default front-end in Oneiric Ocelot. Any thoughts?

I think it's a good move. Kpackagekit has simply not 'matured' as quickly as the developers likely wanted. Muon has been a solid competitor, being much better (than Kpackagekit) from the outset. With the decision of the 'powers that be' to include it as the default package manger, means that the developer can put even more energy into making it the 'package manager par excellance' that it destined to be.

I agree that Muon is much better than KpackageKit for GUI PM. I have used it since it turned 1.0.0 in Lucid and it is about on par with ol' trusty Synaptic, and I could never get used to USM (Ubuntu Software Manager) -style GUI's.

BTW, thanks for the edit, I didn't catch it until it was too late.
