    Hello there :)

Just jumping in to say hi, I am using Kubuntu as part of a challenge in my company - my IT manager is a linux specialist and challenged me to use Kubuntu as my main OS, while he is taking on my normal working ground by using the Joomla! CMS for his website. It's been a very fruitful challenge as we now both have a general understanding of each others specialisations.

I started out with Kubuntu on my laptop but had some problems and hence that has reverted back to Windows 7 and I'm now using Kubuntu on my main machine. Other than a graphics related problem, it's going OK. I really like some of the applications I've found although there are a few peeves I've not figured out yet.

Generally finding things not as bad as I'd expected!

      Welcome to Kubuntu Forums!

I tried something similar with my guys. I won! They couldn't break from the MS mold!

        Welcome RCheesley!

I got the head of my dept thinking Linux and the IT dept switching from Novell to Linux servers, then the voters elected an MS drone as gov.

Give us some clues about your graphics problems and your peeves!

Since you've taken Kubuntu off of your laptop, I assume, open a console on your work stations and in it issue:
        lspci
and report back what is displayed.
