I noticed that.

It seemed to me that Attachmate was just acting as a funnel in the first place.

Being the skeptic that I am, my next thought was, "Ok, where are the back doors to those patents?" I suspect that Microsoft has more than one proxie (besides SCO) which can acquire the patents and then get funded by Microsoft to file IP "infringement" lawsuits against Linux based businesses.

That is somewhat reassuring but I still don't trust M$ and the others with those patents. From the start I figured that M$ and the others were trying to find a back-door way of destroying Open Source. They do it even now. Oracle in point! As bad as M$ IMO. Really though, Novell is a very disappointing company. Their deals with M$ and the others is really shameful.
