Is this expected as a result of the M$S/Novell links? Any link to Android phones/Nokia?

Good point, I wouldn't be surprised if MS was behind all this. They've been challenging Android from the legal side (they already lost in the technical side). And this would fit perfectly: get Miguel to work his magic, send a Trojan Horse and later on sue the F out of Google/Android.

Good question! The quick answer is that it was included so a couple GNOME apps that use it could be included. Now that Ubuntu will ship Unity and include Qt by default, Mark also expressed an interest in using KDE apps as needed. I think the mono-apps have strong counterparts in KDE (Digikam and Notes). Hopefully we can propose that. Maybe launchpad is a good place, or maybe Mark's blog.

Should we open a launchpad bug for this? GreyGeek would have great ammo, are you reading my man?
