Hi
I just realized that after the latest android upgrade in my Motorola Droid phone, a "tethering" option was available in the System Settings. This is what I did:
1. Connect the USB cable between my kubuntu notebook and the phone
2. Activated the Tethering option on the phone
That's it. That's freakin' it. I was connected to the internet automatically within seconds. Of course I got a pop up from my provider (Verizon/USA) explaining that I need to pay additional $20 per month to tether, so I didn't really go any further.
It is amazing how EASY it is to use a Kubuntu system. Definitely much simpler and cleaner than Windows, at least in my experience.
Cheers, good work everyone!
