    What a Funny Error!!

Was trying to find new pictures for my Desktop background and evidently hit a poisoned site and received this. How hilarious!! Amazing that Windows Security can help me even though this is Kubuntu!

That smells like malware ready to be downloaded and installed.

Sure, we were both being ironic , but let's be very clear just in case. Some sites launch a pop up that is intended to look like a native OS Warning to clean up your computer or something along these lines.

For anyone running Windows, never ever click OK on those. Just kill the window.

It is funny that it rendered the way my system is configured but yet references Windows. That's what is hilarious. Yes, definitely Malware. You wouldn't believe how many times I've had to clean systems for people I know that go and click that OK button even after being told not to.

            Hi guys...

            Thanks

Yeah, I knew what you meant. I will add that the "rogue antivirus" variety (of malware) is becoming a lot more sophisticated and harder to remove as of late. Two examples I've seen include asking the user to uninstall their legitimate AV to "avoid a conflict," (which is true and a good precaution in legitimate situations,) and the rogue running in safe mode to prevent the installation of software aimed at getting rid of it.

My hope is that the legitimate AV's start adding detections and removal procedures for this type of malware ASAP!

Mmm. I don't think there is much that an antivirus can do against social engineering ...

Yup, your system is no safer than your weakest brain cell when it come to social engineering.
