    alluring ms-windows users to linux

    Hi folks there …

Has anybody noticed that why both kde and kubuntu teams have not given a choice for ms-windows end users to give kubuntu (kde-based ubuntu) a try?. For instance, ubuntu dev. team might invite some people of ms-windows users (not seasoned ones) for testing a stable kubuntu edition, say only for 1 or 2 hours. Ms-windows end users are used to use a simple, applicable polished desktop-environment os. They do not care if ms-windows os itself is secure or not, simply they use it. This people even do not know how to use commands (shell:arguments) in the console. For most, a lot of features remain unused (or rarely used). They only use gui The os and the desktop-env. stem from one source, itself microsoft. The windows people know very well that microsoft products are very expensive. They buy it or pirate it.

On contrary, ubuntu (canonical) do a good job, but not enough to allure ms-windows tusers o the gnu/linux world (freedom means open mind). They make a lot of energy-wasing stuffs, instead of focusing on discrete projekt. For instance making gnome and kde based (both ubuntu and kubuntu) stuff the best (less buggy and sluggish). We (linux advocates) should keep in mind that, the kernel and thousands of gnu/linux apps have not created by ubuntu (canonical) They make configs and customize the system. So it means that, they should have made a great linux distro instead of making painful-everything (just read the articles on the ubuntu, kubuntu forums). Do not forget the aim (this is my opinion) should be attracting the attention of the others coming from outside gnu/linux world. We are the community. One day this community might decline, and the people would defect to another os. Just keep this in mind (do not forget the fate mandrake) and go on the right route.. Hopefully, my suggestions would be welcoming by ubuntu (canonical).
