Re: Recent actions by ICE gives cause for caution ...

IF our politicians weren't the best money could buy, and our gov agencies fulfilled their original mandates to protect CITIZENS from corporate misdeeds, instead of doing what they do now, which is shielding corporations who violate the law and exploit citizens we wouldn't need wikileaks.

Yes, I am sickened by the tendency of our appointed for life judges that increasingly side with the large corporations in matters like this without any thought of what it means to the freedom of law abiding citizens. They should be concentrating on the law breakers, without infringing on our rights. Should we close all the banks because some people rob banks?

I wonder if its actually a ddos and not just a bunch of people trying to download the files. Seeing that they rely on donations they probably don't have too many mirrors to distribute the load.

I feel fairly confident this is an attack mounted by the US government.

I guess they just managed to solved the issue or just moved everything to another (backup) server because Wikileaks is back and rolling.

IF the US had mounted enough of an attack on WikeLeaks to down ALL of its servers then the room for "plausible deny-ability" would have evaporated and we wouldn't be guessing who is mounting the attack. As it is, Uncle Sam can *shrug* with palms up and a straight face. Then it descends to "To your friends no alibi is necessary, to your enemies no alibi is sufficient."

Here is another more "bald" statement on the situation.
