No good can come of it. I bet that deal they signed was to lead up to this so M$ can take over, change and make non-interoperable. Only a M$ based system will work and that would include SUSE being rewritten with MONO. Goes back to another thread here in the forum, Money is the root to everything we see happening to Open Source.
It gives me cause to wonder what the FOSS openSUSE developers will do, and what will become of that distro.
