      Burg
      BURG stands for Brand-new Universal loadeR from GRUB. It's based on GRUB, and add features like new object format and configurable menu system.

        Interesting.

        @Kyonides
        Like how you have the icons for Choice on boot. Didn't notice if you had one for (K)Ubuntu Recovery Mode? Nicely done!

          So, here are the screenshots:
          http://code.google.com/p/burg/wiki/Screenshots

          It does look interesting! It can be installed from a PPA (BUT PLEASE BEWARE: this can BRICK your system, bootloader experimentation is only recommended to very advanced users).

          Me? I think we need in this front:
          • An easy GRUB2 GUI config tool
          • A solid, easy to use option in the liveCD so that you can recover from GRUB bricking

          Grub2 is nice, but as soon as you have multiple disks and operating systems it can get confused, and brick your installation, even on simple upgrades!

          I bricked one of my machines when upgrading to maverick. It wasn't an issue for to me chroot from the liveCD, but then again, I have been using Linux since 1995!

              I know I still need to take a snapshot on my system to show you how it looks on my PC, but I was kind of lazy earlier today / yesterday to do it right away.
