In search of freeDOS or linux laptop

Hi,
i reside in India. I want to get a new laptop..and was looking for laptop which does not have windows installed on it by default. I have made list of those laptop. It might be useful..

Requirements: 13’+, 2GHz+, Graphic card (minus intel graphics), free-DOS.
Bonus points: 2GB+ RAM, light weight.

Acer: No Free DOS laptops.

Asus:
1. A42F: Though it has intel GMA graphics. looks good.
2. A52N: Pro: 15.6’ HD, amd64 2.1GHz. ATI graphics. Cons: weight. 0.3 MP webcam.
3. K40IE: Pro: 14’, 2.1GHz, nVidia GT130M, upto 4gb RAM. Cons: weight around 2Kg.
4. PRO8BIE VX102D: Pro: 14’, 2.1GHz, nVidia GT310M, 2GB RAM, Rs.32k Cons: 0.3MP camera
5. eeePCs

DELL
1. Inspiron 15R: Pro: 15’, 2.4GHz, ATI HD5470, 2gb RAM, 320GB, Rs.34k Cons: 2kg+
2. Dell mini 10n: Pro: ubuntu preinstalled

HCL: There are many “ME” laptops available with free DOS, but with intel integrated graphics.

HP: freeDOS comes with intel integrated graphics.
Compaq: CQ42 176TX:Pro: 14’, 2.26GHz i5, ATI HD5430, 4gb RAM, Rs.37k Cons: 2.2kg

Lenovo
IdeaPad V series: many freeDOS, with integrated graphics.
IdeaPad Z560: Pro: 15’, i3, GeForce 310, 3gb RAM. Cons: 2kg+
G460:Pro: 14’, 2.13GHz i3, GeForce 310, 4gb RAM, Rs. 38k Cons: 0.3MP webcam, 2kg+
ThinkPad: some freeDOS with intel integrated graphics

msi: no free DOS laptops

SAMSUNG NP R439: Pro: 14’ LED HD, 2.26GHz i3, ATI HD545 Cons: 2.2kg

Sony Vaio: no free DOS laptops

Toshiba Satellite C650D: Pro: 15’, 2.1GHz amd64, ATI. Cons: 2kg+

You should also try http://zareason.com/shop/home.php, their price is a bit more than others, but they are designed specifically for linux (Ubuntu/Kubuntu mainly - which also means you even get ubuntu key instead of windows key), and they provide open hardware warranty:

Unfortunately Zareason is based in California and India doesn't appear on it's shipping list (http://zareason.com/shop/International.html)

i have finally decided my laptop.. it is going to be asus A52N.
amd64 athelon II P320 2.1 GHz, 4GB RAM, 500GB HDD, ATI Mobility™ Radeon® HD 4200.
All this just for INR 26k (~ USD 570)

and just as i gave order. i came across this beautiful article.
