LOL well I've said this before in a variety of ways, that Linux has changed a lot of things in my life, and that it introduced me to streaming radio, my particular fav station is the Soma FM group of substations , and that by listening online that I purchased cds and that actually, if the big media companies had any sense they would embrace it and make more money but anyway....

Since I have a dedicated computer for my widescreen t.v. and have it running daily for Kontact, etc. I have found that I now default to listening to streaming music on the big screen.

One caveat, I know that most manufacturers and folks say one does not have to worry about "burn in" but letting a static pic stay on the screen for a long time does leave a noticeable afterimage.

So, I have a linky on the desktop for settings and just "test" the screensaver.

    Anyway....just sayin'.

Not that it matters much, but "burn-in" is a phosphorous condition. Unless your TV is a tube-type it has no phosphorous in the screen. Now-a-days, screensavers are just for entertainment. If you're not actually looking at the screen, power it off or power-saving mode (if it has one) is better. Saves hours on the TV's life and a few pennies in the electric bill too.

Not sure. Once heard of a guy selling a LCD TV that had a burned-in (state-condensed whatever, I don't know?) image of a homosexual porn movie that a friendly friend had decided "for fun" to let sit on the TV while the guy was away on vacation. Upon return the image turned out not to go away anymore. I believe he was not even trying to sell the thing, but seriously giving away for free .

I remember listening to that often on my Squeezebox Touch/Boom that I have at home. I think the only other thing I have been listening to in online radio terms is Digitally Imported. I'm not even sure there are any other good stations...

I am listening to Depeche Mode's Delta Machine album on my Kodi box. The visualization effects are distracting me. Yes, I am easily distracted, but I am supposed to be working
I will be fine as long as I don't put on headphones and turn the volume up to proper levels.

You're such an opening in someone's behind. Listen to Laura Shigihara, she's sweet and friendly and nice and a children's lover and she would never swear. Really.

Most anything except for rap or hip-hop. Rush, Yes, Kansas, Dream Theater, Queensryche (Geoff Tate era), Symphony X, Jethro Tull are among my favorite bands.

I listen to a variety of music, only things I don't listen to are country and religious music. My favorite bands change from time to time, but currently I listen to Blind Guardian, Five Finger Death Punch, and a metal cover of the Undertale soundtrack a lot.

Will current top hits no matter who's the artist, not really suit me. Me more on 90's music, rock, R&B, pop or hip hop.
