Ubuntu default repositories slower than normal today...

The default repositories for Ubuntu/Kubuntu are really slow today. I got a max speed of almost a whopping 56 kbps ! Normally, it's closer to 500 kbps for me. Is this a result of Lucid being released and a lot of people upgrading and reinstalling software at once? Can I expect the speed to return to normal anytime soon?
