I like gentle and Caledonia 6. They aren't too dark.

Check my screenshots on page 27. That's using Caledonia color scheme. It's a little bit darker than stock.

I think that default color scheme is too dark (or my laptop monitor sucks :P ). And generally, oxygen style/theme sometimes looks too cold/professional to me. That is why I am using QtCurve atm I tweaked one QtCurve theme to suit my needs:

You can find it here: http://kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=150833

          Cheers

My boring default wallpaper desktop. I am really just showing off Gkrellm, lol, 5 HDD temp's, GPU, 4 CPU core temps, motherboard temp (chipset) and the fake overall CPU temp, followed by 4 fan speeds and the BIOS battery voltage.

Edit: Wow, the pic shrunk, ack, it was 1920x1080

This might be better, 1600x900... http://www.flickr.com/photos/7978633...n/photostream/

It's quite interesting to see how people set up their desktops - but what's really interesting is how different Dolphin looks at each and every desktop. Schnelles tool shelf on right side makes perfect sense (give more room to what actually matter - the content) I think I'd go dizzy myself before I adapted to it

Ah. Yeah, I'm not sure if you figured it out already, I'm a bit confused now too, ha. But the color scheme is Caledonia 6.

My latest deskop. I'm a minimalist, and like to keep my desktop uncluttered. So, I only have Conky running 'on all desktops'.

Wow, taskbar clutter, lol, ack, I try to keep that to a dull roar, that's why my desktop reeks of my brain conditioning going way back to Win-DOHs 95, icons on the desktop.

Modified Opaquity colors I added a brown tint and lightened just a bit. Qml application launcher one column. Two0ten window frames and a soft.sand qtcurve by me on kdelook. Soft.sand color scheme also by me can be found on kdelook.
