Of course, if you have an NTFS to check, that means you probably also have a Windows OS, and so then, well, you have a Windows OS to use.
But I think GParted Live CD will check/repair an NTFS filesystem:

?? Gparted dose use ntfsprogs withch has ntfsfix witch is suposed to be abell to check and fix (or scedule a chkdsk in windos) the ntfs partition tabel.

but I'v never tryed it..... the few times I'v had ntfs coruption due to me resizing &/or moving a ntfs filesystem withougt chkdsking and defraging and chkdsking agin (I find doing that helps tramendosley) I'v allwase used the XPcd to do the chkdsking

and then the probs go away that includes probs with linux being abel to acsess them as well!!

but now after reading all this I gess I'll go a head and burn that

and try it out

and mabey in the next week or so I'll do a windowsXP install on one of the old boxes and see how dificult it will be to do some filesystem coruption on it .........LOL..........and do some testing as to how well and easeley the 2 of them do it. (parted magick and Gparted)
