Which version of Kubuntu did you start with?

What version did you first experience?

Me I started with Kubuntu Dapper Drake. Have been using Kubuntu ever since. Currently with Karmic Alpha 3

I think it was 5.10 (Breezy). I liked the clean look when I ran the live CD, and I liked the fact that I could always get the latest KDE release in Kubuntu.

Edgy Eft was the first functional install I used. I had attempted, a few years prior to that, to install/utilize Debian 'Woody', but that was not successful (for me), and removed it.

I started with Hoary, 5.04, but it was Ubuntu. The first Kubuntu was...6.0...4 Feisty Fawn. I liked 8.04, but due to SIGSEVG#11 problems ended up with this JJ.

I ran the Dapper Drake (6.06) Live CD and convinced myself it was worth trying, but by the time I got it together to try an installation, Edgy Eft was released, so that was the one I installed (and installed, and installed, and installed ...).

Edgy Eft was a great instructor!

Personally, I love U dibl, but I think this Red Wine has something to do with it

It's either the wine or the lovely avatar, my guess (and my hope) is the former
              Cheers!

Mine was Kubuntu 6.10 Edgy Eft. I was experimenting with a variety of distros in a virtual machine. I knew I wanted KDE from my experience with Debian, and Kubuntu looked great. Nowadays Kubuntu 8.04 Hardy Heron is my full time primary operating system, though I still keep XP on another partition just in case.

It was 6.06. Which reminds me ... I usually forget the "names," preferring to use instead the version numbers. Now it is 8.04.3 (and sidux), with XP on another disk ... which reminds me ... I better get in there after several months now and run all those Windows/A-V/Etc. updates ... ick ... oh, but red wine will help me do that ... and sorta like it.

I can't remember. The preview, 4.10, or 5.04. But the preview wasn't very usable, if I recall correctly.

But I usually started with an Ubuntu install and added KDE afterwards.

Sorry, I was pouring some Malbec. What was that again?

I started with 7.04, I think. Had to learn linux for a job promotion, tried debian, but it had issues with my hardware...but Kubuntu installed and worked for the most part.

I started with Kubuntu 7.04 (Feisty ?) and loved it, i'd tried two or three other Linux flavours, but wasn't very impressed.... especially with all the terminal commands which some of them seemed to insist on.

I seem to spend most of the time on Mepis now-a-days.... but it is KDE.

I started with Edgy, ended with Hardy. No KDE for me after that.
