Hi all from a newbee... :D

hello everybody, I am Yashvir from Mauritius...

...ok its located here : here

by the way how do you insert a hyperlink in a word instead of pasting the whole link in the forum.

anyway lets continue the induction session, like i said i'm Yashvir from Mauritius, 23 and long time Windows user and now first time Linux, kubuntu and KDE user. Hope that everything runs smooth and wish that i too can help others somewhere along the way when i get to know the software better.

    Cheers

Re: Hi all from a newbee...

    Greetings Yashvir, and Welcome!

So, if you highlight your URL, and choose "copy" (or Ctrl-C), then in your Forum post you first put one of these "[" then you write "url" and then one of these "]" then you paste in your copied URL, then immediately at the end of it you put one of these "[" and write "/url" and then one of these "]" and you are done -- no spaces at all. I can't show you an example because it turns into a link itself.

All the details on how to format your post are http://kubuntuforums.net/forums/inde...help;page=post

Re: Hi all from a newbee...

to make your URL one word like this, do this:

      [ url=http://www.kubuntu.org ] this [/url]

      only remove all the spaces.
