Please tell us the model numbers of the notebooks you installed Kubuntu on and how much they cost!
I'm asking because a friend asked me yesterday about replacing XP on his old desktop, or perhaps buying a new netbook (which has a webcam for Skype use). I can tell you that Hardy Heron runs great on the HP Mini 1000 netbook (mine is a 1035NR with a 60GB hard drive). I installed it alongside the original Windows XP, using unetbootin and a flash drive.Comment
